Seven Steps for Effective Problem Solving in the Workplace
By Tim Hicks
Problem solving and decision making. Ask anyone in the
workplace if these activities are part of their day and they'd
certainly answer "Yes!" But how many of us have had
training in problem solving? We know it's a critical
element of our work but do we know how to
do it effectively?

In the past year, the Web has experienced extraordinary

implications for persons interested in dispute resolution.

All who are interested in conflict resolution are welcome

This is a totally online event and there is no charge.

Tools and Resources

In the March newsletter I plan to provide a brief overview
of Trans-measure, a simple training evaluation tool that
enables one to move beyond `smile sheets' and
generate information about the impact of training
on organizations.

News from Southern Africa

South African Defence Deputy Minister Nozizwe Madlala-
Routledge was given the cold shoulder by the Namibian
ministry yesterday when she met government officials.
She wanted to put across the SA government's view that the
way out of the war situation in the Namibia-Angola
border areas was negotiations between the Angolan
Government and Unita, sources said. (2/10/2000)
