This is the online meeting place for the Concord Area Homebrewers. We are a group of homebrewers interested in the brewing of beer, wine, mead and other fermentable beverages. The focus of the group is the appreciation of quality beverages and the social interaction revolved around our monthly meetings.

National Homebrew Day will be celebrated next Saturday, May 3rd at Ed's house in Concord with Big Brew. Come by and help brew or bring some homebrewing fence

Hop Rhizomes
Yesterday afternoon Ed and I did some root pruning at his hop yard in Concord. This had led to many rhizomes. So many that there is no way I could ever plant

Certainly do not dump the carboy. First of all infection would be obvious in the flavor fo the sample. Second any infection affecting final gravity will

Maple Ale Question
made 10 gallons of maple ale from extract. I started with 20 gallons of maple sap, boiled down to 12-13 gallons. I then used that to make a simple pale ale.
