Traditionally (according to rudlin and a few others) the lovers don't touch or kiss until the end - it is all very fraught and chaste as far as courtships go...

Did you want period pieces exclusively? There's also Kabelevsky's "The Comedians" - chock full of fun stuff, but relatively contemporary (early 20th Century)...
