Like the more formal Oubapo group, free jazz or the surrealists Exquisite Corpse, the Comix Jams are a forum for the further exploration of the sequential art form of comics, as well as a social gathering for artists and auteurs. Jams provide an opportunity for an artiste to flex their creative muscles in ways they otherwise couldn't; sharpening the storytellers mind problem-solving skills.
