Updates!

Updates were made to the Genome website. first off, chapters 1-4 are up for the sci-fi hit webcomic, Entropy.  Let me know what you think of the story and art.

Secondly, both Ellium Tangents and Ellium: Book One will be shipping this November.  I'm very excited about this and think it'll look like a very nice package.  Still taking orders for both book and previews are available as well, just click the link on the right.

Lastly, I'm taking on new projects so if you need some art out of me, now's the time to ask.  Give me a shout and let me know your budget.

I have decided to switch from regular comics to TPB's. So, I am
trying to get ahold of TPB's from the titles that I collect:

Amazing Spider-Man
Avengers
Batman
Exiles
JLA
New X-Men
Uncanny X-Men
Weapon X
X-Treme X-Men

I am also looking for titles that may be realted to the ones above
like Robin, Nightwing, etc.

I have comics to trade in return, mostly from the above listed
titles, and I also have superhero figures. I can also pay $$.

PLMK if anyone has any TPB's that they are willing to part with.

Thanks

I was wondering if the someone has the new email address of the
person that had the following old email address:
wildchild3@....

I believe her name was Jennifer. Or if your out there Jennifer, I
was wondering if your still interested in the comics I had set aside
for you. We were going to trade but you had never sent a list of the
comics you had that I needed.

thanks

Is your first name really "Tricia"? If yes, we have
the same name (first), and we spell it the same way!

Hi all ^_^

I'm having a bit of trouble with some of my Marvel comics titles. I have a
guide that tells what the names of certain issues are, but when I compare
those names next to the actual issue I have, they are completely different!
Can a Marvel expert comic fan please help me straighten this out? Is the
guide misprinted, are my comics misprinted, or do I have some strange rare
comics here?

Just going from the Wolverine titles you mentioned but is it possible you are getting stories mixed up between the main books and the Marvel Comics Presents title ?

First, sorry to the group. We normally travel quite a bit during the
summer, but we've been pretty unreachable for four months now. I
lost my dad and nearly lost my brother, so it's been pretty tough.

On a brighter note, we just picked the winners of the first writing
contest at www.FantasyReaders.com and we have decided to continue
with the free Gareth Blackmore paperback giveaway contests for the
rest of the year! We're also taking stories for a new print
anthology as well as the second writing contest. Check it all out if
you have a few minutes!

I have literally hundreds of messages to read and will be glad to
start participating in my great groups again!

I'm not really sure yet. I only have Issue #4 so I haven't started
reading it yet. I basically like to wait until I have the first issue
before I start reading. That way I can make sense of the whole thing as
I go along. :-)

Here's a cover scan of the issue I do have:

At the rate I'm going, I'll be there very soon myself. I find it hard
to resist loading up when I visit those comic shops that let you have 15
comics for $5.00. Plus, since I have a pull box at my favorite comic
shop, on Tuesdays I get the "dollar comics" for only 25 cents each.
Man, I could get a hundred comics for only $25! Unfortunately my
interest in comics is fairly narrow so it's hard to find material I'm
actually interested in, but when I was in there last time, I noticed
some guy had brought in a whole bunch of Crossgen stuff. Come Tuesday,
I'll be there with bells on! It's the perfect opportunity to flesh out
my First, Crux, Mystic, and Meridian collection, plus pick up some of
the other Crossgen series I don't already have since they're all have
related storylines.

X-Men, Superman, Spiderman, Captain America... those titles don't
interest me at all. I'm more into "newer" ideas, or if nothing else,
ideas I wasn't already into as a kid. The only exception would be Kiss.
I like Psycho Circus because I had some Kiss comics from the late 70's
or early 80's...whenever it was...when I was a kid.

Yep, it seems that I did this. I didn't realize there was a difference
between "Wolverine" and "Marvel Comics Presents Wolverine".

Looks like I'll have to revise my list.

Thanks so much for the tip!

Howdy,

Attached is a list of comics a friend and I have for sale. All are in near mint condition. Meaning read once then put in a protective bag with a backing board. We are asking $1 per comic or best offer.

If you are interested please let me know and we can work out the details of getting the comics to you.

Thanks,
MC

I haven't read enough Excaliber to help you there, but on the Wolverine's it sounds like Terry is right and you've mixed up "Wolverine" with "Marvel Comics Presents: Wolverine", which was effectively the title of the line "Marvel Comics Presents" for quite a while.

Your guide is correct on the names of the stories on the Wolverine issues (sad that I remember this 10 years after the last time I read Wolverine #4), and since the stories in your issues have as many as 9 parts, they are most definitely from MCP.

Hope this helps,

Subject: [comic_books] Marvel comics - confused

EXCALIBUR

#32 - Dark Shadows (starring Shadowcat; the guide says this one is called
"Someone Will Die For This!")
#34 - Like A Housewife (starring Meggan; the guide says this one is called
"School Spirit")
#35 - A Day At the Circus (starring Nightcrawler; the guide says this one is
called "Heartbreakers!")
#36 - Keep the Fire Burning (starring Phoenix; the guide says this one is
called "Xs and Os")
#37 - Dragon Damsel in Distress (the guide says this one is called "House
Call")
#38 - There's No Place Like Home (the guide says this one is called "Out On
A Limbo")

"Bloodsport")

called "Roughhouse!")

called "Mr. Fixit Comes To Town")
#8 - Save The Tiger: Part 8 - The Fight (the guide says this one is called
"If It Ain't Broke --!")
#9 - Save The Tiger: Part 9 - The Confrontation (the guide says this one is
called "Promises to Keep")

#39 - Black Shadow, White Shadow: Part 2 - The Shadows Strike (the guide
says this one is called "Deconstruction")

confused here!

Thanks!

Apparently, a legitimate "Man-Thing" film has been greenlit and
een scripted, already. Does anyone know of this? A great character
(even if he's Marvel's answer to Swamp Thing) but I can't help but
feel this will translate poorly to the screen.

I read an item on Superherohype.com a few months ago
that said the film would be more about the legend of
the creature and the surrounding goings on and not so
much on the monster itself. I dont know how that
would work to be quite honest. Not a lot of people
who would recall Man Thing outside of us comic folks.

This is a pretty cool site, if I do say so myself. (Which I do,
since the site and the comic on it are mine. XD) It's a pretty decent
webcomic made by yours truly. The first few issues may not be all
that great, but they get a lot better. Check it out if you're looking
for a new, up and coming Webcomic to read.

The comic can be found at: http://www.cheapocomix.50megs.com

If you have any questions about the comic, email me at:

Thanks!

I just wanted to know if anyone has tried the new comic grading
service called CGG yet? And if so how is it? It opened up down in
Eugene, Or, which is 60 miles from my house, and I was hoping to find
out some more about it before I tried it out.
