Welcome! Columbia County Homeschoolers is an online e-mail support group, open to all families who homeschool in and around Columbia County, OR.

Columbia County Homeschoolers (CCH) provides ‘meaningful support’, general information about homeschooling in our community, group activities, field trips, as well as other home educational support, encouragement and information.

CCH is a member-led support group, we therefore encourage all of our members to contribute to our discussions, lend support to others, plan activities and informal get-togethers, and arrange for field trips and other opportunities. Remember, everyone has something special to share with others in our homeschooling community. Please don’t hesitate to make your own personal contribution to the group.

We do ask that you abide by the following rules:

1. Everyone has their own unique style of homeschooling; please remember to provide support, without judgment, to our members.

2. No political discussion. There are other on-line groups available for this purpose.

3. No Advertising. (*Exception: book, teacher, tutor, class, conference and curriculum recommendations, from your own personal experience).

4. Please keep your discussions on the subject of “homeschooling”. We realize that this can include a wide range of topics; please use your own discretion.

5. All group activities that are placed on this e-mail loop are open to all homeschoolers. We encourage you to invite those who are not members of CCH.

6. No Spamming or flaming. Please keep the tone of this list respectful. Inappropriate messages will not be tolerated. Members sending offensive or inflamatory email to the list will be placed on moderated status. Problems or concerns should be addressed to the listowner privately, NOT the list.
