Latino Shot Dead Columbia & Sherman   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #25186 of 31120 |
Dear Friends:

Early this morning, just after 1 AM, two Latinos were shot, one fatally, at Sherman and Columbia. The other was shot in the leg, and is expected to fully recover. Both were young adult males. I expect to have the names shortly.

I am told that both live in Ward One. As the weather is heating up, I hope we do not see violence heating up as well.

MPD is investigating these shootings also to determine whether they might be gang related. If they are, that finding would be of great concern since we have had little or no Latino gang related violence in several years.

With our sympathy and prayers to family and loved ones, Councilmember Jim Graham
