Our Collage Artist illustration is a collage on watercolor paper by AnitaNH titled "Zinc Pennies." It combines arch punched old book endpapers with Epson printed elements scanned from vintage newspapers.

This group is open to collage artists, assemblage artists, mixed media artists, and to those seeking to learn about these arts. The primary goal of the Collage Artists Group is to promote self-expression through collage. All discussions which relate to the creative process of making collage art, including (but by no means limited to) symbolism, processes and influences are encouraged.

Let's aim to maintain a positive, progressive, and supportive atmosphere. No flames, spam, or mass mailing. Discussions related to religion, politics, and current events/issues should be limited only to the context of your art. In other words, if the latest media event prompts you to speak out, you have to do a collage about it in order to talk about it here.

I would like to develop a section of this group to support collage artists, assemblage artists, and mixed media artists in my region: New England/New York/Southeast Canada. A goal is to exchange information about opportunities to display our work physically in public in addition to providing links to images of our art on the web.

Notices of opportunities for collage and assemblage artists anywhere in the world are sought. Announcements may be posted directly by Collage Artist Group members or by contacting the group moderator. Please provide feedback and invite your fellow artists to become involved.
