yes i know, and as a conservator, it's impossible to get a varnish or spray sealant off of paper, without a lot of work. It's okay to use spray fixative....

Varnished are reversible unless the soak into a material. Varnishes were made for oil and acrylics so it would be a protective coating over the paint....
