Cold Zone Gardens is mainly targeted at the Western Canadian Prairie Province Gardener from Zones 1-3, but folks gardening in similar growing zones from other countries are more than welcome to contribute.

Gardening tips, growing tricks and recommendations of plant varieties, garden shops, nurseries and mail order suppliers are heavily encouraged.

Because our growing season is so short, (usually less than 110 frost-free days) we can all benefit from the knowledge and experience of those "in the grow".

This list is meant to be a friendly, helpful and hopefully downright fun place to chat and exchange information (and photos) about gardening in Canada. Expect to experience a lot of email traffic from this list, as we can be a chatty bunch! :) Cold Zone Gardens (formerly Cold Zone Perennials and Bulbs) originally sprouted up in March, 2000.
