I saw a large flock of Pinyon Jays at the Brush Hollow Reservoir State Wildlife
Area this weekend. They were flying from tree to tree and scratching and
pecking under the Pinyon Pines and Junipers at the end of the road on the
northwest side of the lake. They were all over the place and making lots of
noise. I suppose they might have nests in the area.
