Hello Cobirders,
I'm new to this site, but share the same feeling as all of you do about the love for birds. I rehabilitate sick or injured wild birds, and would like to give them a 2nd chance back out in the wild, especially birds that were injured do to window strikes, cat attacks, or lost their homes due to habitat loss, cutting down trees, habitat destruction, and so on.
For the past three days, I have had Bushtits stopping in my backyard at my peanut suet feeder. On the first day, a flock of 12 or more came. On the second day, there were two pair, and this morning, saw a pair at my feeder, but could hear more of them coming from my neighbor's tree, with their high pitched, bell-like "sre-e-e-e."
