ClothTalk is a discussion list for cloth artists and dollmakers, quilters, felters, dyers, needle-artists, wearable-art makers; and anyone else in the fiber and computer graphics fiber related arts. Though the list is heavily populated with dollmakers, the concept of cross-pollinating ideas and techniques from one craft to another is proving to be a good one!

ClothTalk is open to everyone, from the casual hobbyest to the serious artist. The purposes of the list are to share information, tips and techniques; to discuss the creative process; to talk about any and all works-in-progress; and even, occasionally, to mention business aspects of our work such as works for sale, patterns, supplies, shows, and classes. Swaps and round-robins and challenges are also part of ClothTalk.

This list has always been "information-rich", chatting is permitted,but lets try to have it fiber related somewhere in the post. There is plenty of room for "fun games" on ClothTalk, as long as it is fiber-arts-related. We do welcome new subscribers!!.

In order to really get to know and support each other in our creative pursuits, however, we *are* flexible with short and interesting deviations from topic. Sometimes this entails a few peripheral judgement calls. There are certainly related subjects that stir the creative juices for all of us and no one wants to stifle creativity!
