You may go for bloodwork on days 5-9 or as directed and ultrasound from day 16 to monitor if Clomid is working - based on your hormone levels and size of your follicles and to make sure the ovaries are not enlarged. Progesterone Tests on day 20 or 21 or as directed, of your cycle to see if you ovulated.
Take 2 tsp of Robitussin (plain) every other day from day 8 of your cycle - day 18 to thin your cervical mucous out as the Clomid makes it thicker. This is to make it easier for the sperm to swim to the eggies. These are also the days to have BD.Clomid may make you ovulate on day 14. The doctor's recommend BD every other day and have fun while your are at it... add romance.
You may also Chart your Temps, BBT and Monitor Cervical Mucous or Pelvic Floor Position to determine Ovulation.
CLOMID SIDE Effects: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/clomidclub/surveys?id=517901 These depend on each individual. Effects vary from cycle to cycle depending on your dosage and body. Take clomid at night so side effects are minimal while you sleep!
Infertility is an emotional roller coaster ride. Talk to DH and vent feelings with the group.
