I've been watching a number of the YouTube videos by Peter Sinclair - "Climate
Denial Crock of the Week" - they really are superb - not only for exposing
the myths and the corporate and political dishonesty but also because they
give a great grounding in climate science. I Â think it would be valuable if
people who have websites or other places to publicise this do - as part of a
sort of anti-virus programme against the denialist bonkers ideas which are an
expression of mass psychology and likely to grow from now on (unfortunately).
We need to stay in touch with reality and we clearly can't really on the BBC
(dedicated no doubt to broadcasting "balance" between the corporate PR mafia
who know nothing about climate science but everything about misleading people
and climate scientists who know their stuff but do not have black belts in
dealing with dishonest crooks - http://www.desmogblog.com/ )
I also think it would be a good idea for public meetings if someone were to
splice a number of them together for a film show, with discussion afterwards.
As you may or may not know I recently wrote an article for the webjournal
Open Democracy on the Mass Psychology of Climate Denial
Here are a couple of examples but there are many
