Clan Chief Michael J.S. Egan has announced that the 2004 Clan Rally will
take place June 24-27 in Ireland. The rally will begin in Dublin and travel to
County Meath, County Westmeath, County Offaly and County Tipperary
before wrapping up at the Egan castle, Redwood Castle. Please check back

The 2002 Egan Clan Rally was held in Melbourne, Australia, last week
and was a great success. Members of Clan Egan Australia reported that
membership in their organization had swelled 30 percent due to
interest in the rally, which was the first rally held in Australia.
The keynote speech from the event is now posted on www.clanegan.org.
Pictures will be posted once they become available.
Meanwhile, details on the 2004 Clan Egan Rally to be held in Ireland
are already being planned. More information will be posted at a later
date.
I am interested in contacting Doug Egan. I am a decendent of Jacob
Egan, son of James Egan. I was wondering if you have found any more
information about Ellen, James mother. If you are interested please
post a message. Thank you
Gina
I'm looking for information about John Egan, born in Carracastle,
Ireland in 1877; parents: Martin Egan and Bridget Mulligan. He came
to New York in the early 1900s and married Mary McDonnell in about
1912.
Any information about exactly when he arrived, other family members,
etc. would be appreciated.

in this project! I only need a 4"x4"(or larger)piece of tartan
fabric, such as left over from a kilt. Please send to: Donna Cameron

There's still time to put in your two-cents
regarding the Egan Clan Rally planned for Melbourne,
Australia next summer.

The 2002 Rally will be based
in Melbourne Victoria with trips planned to historic
Bendigo on the Victorian Goldfields, and to the
picturesque wine growing areas of the Dandenong mountain
range and Yarra Valley.

The Australian planners
hope that the Program will give international family
members the opportunity to see a little of Australia
including its wildlife. They anticipate the Exchange Rates
will continue to be very favourable into 2002 (if it
looks expensive to buy an Australian Dollar you
probably have the conversion around the wrong
way!).

Meanwhile, they urgently need your advice on a number of
matters and ask you to assist us by filling out the RALLY
2002 SURVEY FORM at your earliest convenience. Visit
www.clanegan.org and click on the 2002 Rally link for complete the
survey.
Plans for the 2002 Egan Clan Rally in Australia are starting to take shape. For
