Welcome to the California Core Knowledge group. Our focus is building a community of support for Californians using the Core Knowledge curricular sequence with K-8 students. We share experiences and knowledge, including lesson plans, management approaches, and community building experiences, in an environment of mutual support and growth. The main topics concern the Core Knowledge Foundation's Scope and Sequence, edited by E.D. Hirsch, Jr., also known as the What Your __th Grader Needs to Know books, with emphasis on working in alignment with the adopted California state framework. This is a place to exchange ideas, lesson plans, and online resources.
