The Circle of the Spirit Tree was originally formed as Five Points Road, a side project of the Spirit Shrine Association in 2004 by Gregory Michael Brewer, a former board member of the SSA and taught in his own home.
In June of 2007, Five Points Road was re-born as the Circle of the Spirit Tree with co-founders Joshua Carey and Rachel Forbes, also former members of the SSA.
The Circle of the Spirit Tree tradition is an eclectic Wicca study group and taught by the members within, combining elements of the SSA and additional personal studies already achieved by each group member over the years.
We wish to teach, to learn, and to improve our lives in the light of the Goddess, The God, and The Great Spirit in order that the “Old Ways” continue to prevail upon our Mother Earth and in our hearts.
Together we form bonds of friendship, family, love, and learning. We also grow as a group and as individuals, closer to the forces of nature and spirit.
The goals of our group are to teach, to learn, and to expand our lives mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, and on every mundane level of daily life.
Together we learn the history, the controversy, and the ethics involved in our spiritual path.
We will also learn how to effectively use, with ethics, the gifts of the God and Goddess, which can be used to empower our lives. These are the gifts of Magick!
In February of 2008 Joe Reda, a High Priest from the New Albion Tradition based out of California joined us and has become a member of our Council of Elders. He has blessed the group with much wisdom, knowledge, inspiration, and laughter.
