Join the Temple of Isis for an Egyptian New Year's Rite.....
July 11th, 2009. 4:30 P.M. Jordan River at 5000 Lucky Clover Lane.
The Egyptian New Year is one of the most sacred times of the calendar year to Kemetics and Isians alike as it symbolizes the return of the Star of Aset, Sopdet, and the birth of the children of Nuet, which are Asar, Set, Heru, Aset, and Nebhet.
This time also symbolizes the rise of the river Nile to make the land nourished again. This time is sacred to all rivers by the life of the Mother Star. Like the common Tarot Trump image of the waters of life being poured from a star being, this is a time of inundation and blessings.
Join us in the after noon for a riverside ritual to honor rivers, the earth, and Isis-Sothis in the beginning of the season of the Return of Sirius to the Starry Heavens.
Please were appropriate shoes and dress in ritual attire. Also please bring a chalice or cup. Ritual food will be supplied by the Temple of Isis afterwards, so no potluck is requested for this event. Donations are appreciated though.
Please bring the map to the rite as the site is somewhat tricky to find. Please come early.
Also Note, the Temple of Isis will be having a Star of Isis ritual back at the Odd Fellows Hall on August the 8th and will have other early morning and nighttime rituals to commemorate the rise of the Nile and the Return of Sirius. If you are interesting in attending these early morning rites and late night rites please e-mail rainbowwaters1982@... offlist.
