Welcome to CiKids!

We're a support group for parents with cochlear implant kids (CiKids) ages 0 - 16. The mission of the CiKids group is to provide an ongoing source of support and exchange of information among families with children that are implant candidates, recipients, their families and friends, and local professionals. Hope parents will post Q&A and share their stories such as successes with equipment, health insurance battles, education plans, speech therapy, bilateral implantation (Ci2) and more.

The professionals invited to participate in the group include audiologists and speech therapists with the hope of building a network of providers. In addition to building a network, more importantly, we hope that CiKids will become a resource for new parents. With early infant hearing screening taking effect across the nation, and world, we hope that CiKids will become a place where parents can be referred to talk to other families/peers and to learn more by reviewing resources posted in the links section.
