The church-of-christ is an informal discussion list for those who wish to discuss God's Word with others. Most members of the list are also members of those congregations which sincerely want to follow the New Testament as their rule of faith and practice, commonly known as the churches of Christ, and among ourselves as "the church". However, others who sincerely want to learn more about the Bible, Jesus, and his church are welcome to join the list.

Those who question the validity of the scripture as the basis of belief will find vigorous opposition here. Differing views on Bible teaching may be held, but discussion should be conducted with respect for the other person, and frivolous arguments are discouraged.

In order for a discussion to exist there must be two-way communication. Use of the list as a one-way carrier for information is against the rules. Members not only receive postings from others in the group, but are encouraged to submit their own postings. They are also encouraged to invite others who have an interest in discussing God's Word to become members of the group.

Currently all new members are moderated to prevent inappropriate postings and spam to the list. New members who post responsibly may have moderation lifted once they have gained the trust of the list operators. All members except moderators are asked to limit posts to a maximum of four per 24 hour day until further notice.

Members may accept e-mails directly or in "digest" mode, or "no-mail" (reading posts from this website at their convenience)
