This is also a contact point for writers seeking critique group help where a writer joins a small group of writers and exchanges read of chapters with other writers, commenting on their chapters for comments and proofing of the writer's chapters. Five people in a group could require a writer to read four chapters a week and in return get five reviews of the writer's own chapter. It is a great way to get an objective look at your work before the big guys as the publisher see it. Do yourself a favor and do the work and get that polishing now. It won't replace a true editor, but it does weed out typos, find silly errors, and once in a while give a big push toward making your story the one the publisher is looking for.
