NOTE TO IMMERSED BELIEVERS, with whom we have these things in common:
Having asked what must we do to be saved, and having repented of our sins and being immersed in water to have our sins forgiven as the first believers did in Acts 2:38; Having received the gift of the Holy Spirit and in being saved, having been added to the church (Acts 2:47); Having accepted the Bible as our only authority for things in religion, "speaking where the Bible speaks and being silent where the Bible is silent," relying on the Word to instruct us in God's will, asking for "book, chapter and verse" as authority for what we do in religion, being taught by its commands, precedents, and implications, we strive for discipleship.
We include those believers whose consciences compelled them to be immersed simply because they heard Christ say, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved," though they might have been taught differently by clerics. We strive for unity with all such.
We grieve over the disunity among us, split and torn asunder into many groups, sometimes feeling to be on probation within our own congregations, all in stark contrast to the unity for which Christ prayed, "that they might all be one, that the world might believe that Thou has sent me."
If you hold these things in common, we want to talk with you here, particularly if unnecessary practices some call "expediencies" make fellowship for you within congregations difficult to find. By "expediencies" we mean stances and activities some consider desirable but which God does not require from any of us. Such expediencies when imposed within congregations create issues of fellowship that make impossible our finding fellowship in these congregations. We want to discuss these problems with immersed believers who are similarly troubled.

The URGENCY for baptism
The NECESSITY for baptism has been well established by command, approved example, and necessary inference, especially in Acts in the six conversion examples
