PRAYER REQUESTS AND TESTAMONIALS

James 5:13-16
13Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him
sing psalms.
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church;
and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the
Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall
raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven
him.
16 Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another,
that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous
man availeth much.

Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be
bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be
loosed in heaven.
Matthew 18:18

Behold I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over
all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luke 10:19

It is my hopes and prayers that I would recieve so many prayer
requests and testamonials I would have to send them all in a separate
email than the news! Folks, I KNOW there has to be people from your
church whom you can send testaminials of God's Miracles at work. I
would love to dedicate a whole page on my/our website at Two Swords
Ministries (http://www.twoswordsministries.com) with nothing but
testaminials from people just like you from all over America!

Poeple, Let's SHOW other's out there God is still working those
miracles!!

Send those prayer requests and testamonials to:

Local teens learn harsh reality of methamphetamine use

Aberdeen American News, SD
A roomful of inquisitive teen-agers met this week to inquire into the
use and abuse of methamphetamine.

Kandis Schwab, former Aberdeen community coordinator for the
Methamphetamine Awareness and Prevention Project of South Dakota,
also known as MAPP-SD, addressed the crowd of more than 50 kids in
the Brown County Courthouse annex basement.

The event was Schwab's last duty as community coordinator for MAPP-
SD. She stepped down from the position to take a job helping at risk
youths at an Aberdeen treatment center.

Methamphetamine, also known as meth, crank, crystal and ice, often
gives the user a euphoric high, leaving them addicted and wanting
that feeling to return again and again.

By the way folks, Ritalin has the exact same effect on people of all
ages as this drug does! It is a well documented FACT. Ritalin is in
the same class as this drug and is considered by the DEA to be a
Schedule II narcotic. For more information visit my website at

an eye opener.

Jackson church violates zoning, city says

Southeast Missourian, MO
A Jackson church could face a judgment day on Earth if it does not
correct a zoning violation concerning its property.

City attorney Tom Ludwig filed a petition Friday asking the court to
set a deadline for Good News Christian Center to stop using its land
at 1320 Old Cape Road as a machine shop and truck refrigeration unit
warehouse.

The church buys and sells the cooling units with the profits going to
missions, said pastor Johnny Seabaugh. The units can be seen stacked
side-by-side from a nearby residential street and from Shawnee
Boulevard.

Seabaugh said the church is in the process of moving the units to
another location but cannot do so until the weather improves.

The problem, said city building and planning superintendent Janet
Sanders, is that the church property is zoned for commercial use, and
a machine shop or warehouse requires an industrial zoning status.

Iglesia leader defends bloc voting as matter of faith

Philippines Daily News, Philippines
BLOC VOTING has been a manifestation of religious unity essential to
spiritual salvation, a leader of the Iglesia Ni Cristo Christian sect
said, as a lawsuit questioned the constitutionality of the group's
single endorsement of political candidates.

INC members did not vote to ensure the victory of their
leaders' "chosen" candidates but to show that they are united as
believers, INC executive minister Eraño Manalo argued through his
counsel, former justice secretary Artemio Tuquero.

The influential INC leader sought a dismissal of the case filed by
the Social Justice Society lawyers group that was being heard by
Manila Regional Trial Court Judge Concepcion Alarcon-Vergara.

Spring Lake group preparing to help war refugees

Detroit News, MI
DETROIT -- Workers from a Michigan-based aid organization are in the
Middle East preparing for a possible war with Iraq and the resulting
exodus of refugees into neighboring countries.

Members of the Spring Lake-headquartered International Aid, a health-
focused Christian relief and development organization, are currently
in Jordan stockpiling food, medical supplies and other disaster-
related necessities.

Myles Fish, the organization's president and chief executive officer,
said workers plan to set up refugee camps near the Jordan-Iraq
border, as well as send people into Iraq if and when Saddam Hussein's
government is toppled.

Missionary family begins life in Sudan

Stuart News, FL
By Bryon Mondok
Dispatches from the Sudan
March 1, 2003

Editor's Note: Bryon Mondok, a pastor at Calvary Chapel Jupiter, left
for the Sudan in South Africa on Feb.1 with his wife and two children
to begin a three-year missionary stay in the war-torn country. He
will report back on his experiences about every six weeks, beginning
today.

Since 1983, the year I graduated from high school, more than 17
million people have been killed in Sudan's civil war.

The mostly Christian South Sudanese are one of the most persecuted
peoples in the world. Their brutal treatment and the violation of
their human rights has only recently become common knowledge.

It is a heart-breaking situation that has left this African people
isolated from the world community. Every day, people starve to death
and are sold into slavery. Entire families are abducted or displaced,
and news of it hardly reaches our ears.

The United Nations wants to provide famine relief for war-torn South
Sudan, but U.N. guidelines will only allow the organization to
distribute food and medicine through the Sudanese government. Since
the Sudanese government considers the people of the south rebellious
slaves, it rarely allows relief to reach the people who so
desperately need it.

Humanitarian aid still reaches the south, but it must be done, for
the most part, by missionary and humanitarian relief organizations.
These groups deliver food, medical care, clothing and encouragement.

Operations are risky and expensive. They are handled with the same
stealth, planning and precision that military special operations use
when they launch secret missions. The government treats these
missions of mercy as they would mercenary activity. The Sudanese
government has even bombed hospitals in South Sudan operated by
Samaritan's Purse, a Christian aid group.

Far Reaching Ministries

One unique organization has emerged to provide ministry and training
to the people of South Sudan. Far Reaching Ministries, lead by Wes
Bentley, 45, of Temecula, Calif., provides Bible and pastoral
training to chaplains in the Sudanese Peoples Liberation Army.

In a Bible college setting, candidates from churches throughout Sudan
are sent to train for a year at the Chaplains Training School. New
projects are launched regularly from the South Sudan ministry base.
In Uganda, FRM ministers to orphans of the Sudanese war, provides
medical care, and distributes clothing and blankets.

First missionary journey

When I first heard of FRM almost three years ago, I was not
interested in overseas church work. But the moment I learned about
the work that FRM was doing in South Sudan, something changed inside
my heart. Somehow I knew that this was something to which I would
dedicate my life.

On my first trip to Africa, I was met in Northern Uganda by a South
Sudanese security team. The lead man was a Dinka tribesman named
Peter Akech. Peter is my age and has been a fighting man since he was
a teen-ager. His skin is so black that it has almost a purple hue.
Etched into the skin on his forehead are tribal markings; two
parallel V-shaped scars.

His team of six to eight soldiers drove us into South Sudan. The
children in the Sudanese village chased the Toyota Landcruiser that
brought me. I stepped out, and they crowded around me. They are
fascinated by my white skin, hairy arms, and blue eyes.

Most of these children have never seen their reflection in a mirror.
The chance that they will ever see a photograph of themselves is low.
I take pictures of them with a digital camera and show them their
pictures in the camera's viewer.

The women are strong, hard-working, and elegantly courteous. The men
are friendly and love fellowship. They greet me warmly with a hearty
handshake and a bright smile. When I teach in their churches, they
soak up Bible teaching like a sponge.

The only thing these people possess is each others' friendship. I
find myself praying constantly for these people. I pray that I would
embrace friendship as naturally as they do. My heart breaks for their
material poverty and desperate living conditions, but I am jealous of
the community and ease they share. They lift one another's spirits
even though they live in one of the world's worst danger zones.

The Call

On my third trip over, a friend who works in the ministry said
something I thought was totally crazy. He said, "Bryon, the guys here
really love you, and its obvious you are at ease around them. You and
your family should move here and work with the Sudanese."

I had a long list of objections. But I knew that if the Lord was in
this, He would overcome every obstacle I thought existed.

I began to see the Lord work through my conversations and
circumstances. When I asked my wife, Susan, to pray about the
direction the Lord appeared to be leading, she said, "I knew this was
going to happen."

My son, Aaron, almost 14 at the time, said, "Sounds great, when do we
leave?"

Charity, my daughter, would handle things differently. A 15-year-old
daughter tends to be a little volatile when you tell her she will be
moving someplace where Seventeen magazine won't forward her
subscription.

Truthfully, Charity had been ready for something like this. She later
told us she had been studying the book of Jonah in our church's youth
group. Jonah's story inspired her to write a prayer in her journal.
She told the Lord she always wanted to be willing to respond to God's
call, no matter how difficult.

My house sold in record time. Family and friends rallied around us as
our vision for ministry came into focus. Churches all over Florida
jumped on board with us. In 90 days, all of the material possessions
accumulated during 16 years of marriage were reduced to about eight
boxes.

Our financial and medical needs were provided for.

The Lord confirmed His will and provided for us above and beyond all
I could have thought possible. God taught me that He was leading and
He would provide the faith, the resources, and the circumstances to
fulfill His call.

Our arrival

Our introduction to Third World living has included several days
without running water, frequent loss of electricity, and sleeping in
mosquito netting.

We've eaten goat meat and fish heads. Some things we will adjust to
quickly and others will take a little more time. But we will adjust.
We are all aware that it is the Lord who has brought us here and that
He has planned only good things for us. We are excited that He is
preparing us for new ministry to people we are waiting to meet.

ad is a description of her achievements: master's degree from
Georgetown University, national public speaking awards, job as a

Omar, is also an American Muslim who wears a hijab, or Muslim
headdress. Omar is featured in the latest of a 52-ad campaign being
conducted by the Washington, D.C.-based Council on American-Islamic
Relations (CAIR) to counter what the group calls "a rising tide of

Chaplain gives tips for ministering to military families
BP News, TN

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (BP)--Navy Chaplain Tim Hall, assigned to the USS
Philippine Sea in Jacksonville, told the Florida Baptist Witness he
believes churches should be sensitive to the special needs of
military members and their families whose spouses might be deployed
away from home.

"I think it's important for churches to not be afraid to just endorse
the fact that we cannot be as active as the average member," Hall
said. "There is a perception that if you can't go to church 'six out
of five Sundays' that you are somehow less valued as a member."

And the spouse left home might not be as regular at church as they
would like to be, given their temporary or long-term increase in
responsibilities.

Kentucky bible college gets 666 prefix removed

By ROGER ALFORD
Associated Press

VANCLEVE, Ky. - After months of asking for a new telephone number,
the Kentucky Mountain Bible College has finally dropped the 666
prefix that disturbed Christians who recognized it as the biblical
mark of the beast.

"We're just elated that the number has been changed," said Rob Roy
MacGregor, the college's vice president of business affairs. "It was
like we had this Scarlet Letter attached to us."

The college is now removing the number from printed material,
including its official letterhead.

The 666 prefix had been the only one available in Vancleve since
telephone service arrived here. The need for more phone lines forced
telephone companies to add new numbers, and the college tried for
several months to get the new 693 prefix.

"We were glad we could finally get a number that the school is happy
with," said Kaye Davis, general counsel for Access Point, a North
Carolina-based telephone company that serves the college.

In the Book of Revelation, 666 is stamped into people's foreheads or
right hands during the last days. Those who receive the mark,
according to Scripture, are damned to eternal punishment.

MacGregor said the beast represents Satan. True Christians, he said,
will not accept the mark.

Davis said it took longer than expected to change the prefix because
the college wanted to keep the last four digits of its number - 5000.

The Rev. Vaughn Rasor, pastor of First Baptist Church in nearby
Jackson, said this wee that most people seemed to see the 666 prefix
as a curiosity.

"If people start giggling when I give my phone number, I know they
have at least read the Bible," Rasor said.

Homosexual activists work globally to force acceptance and to gain

BP News, TN

WASHINGTON (BP)--The homosexual rights movement, more than just a
U.S. phenomenon, poses a mounting worldwide threat to Christian
liberty and free speech rights, warns Peter LaBarbera, senior policy
analyst with the Culture and Family Institute in Washington, D.C.

Among the many organizations around the world promoting homosexual
rights is the International Lesbian and Gay Association, a 25-year-
old organization based in Belgium, touting 350 member groups in 80
countries.

NBC's 'Message of Hate' Segment Raises Hackles of Christian Leaders

(AgapePress) - The founder of a nationally known Christian ministry,
along with several Baptist leaders, is blasting NBC Nightly News for
a story which said a prominent Baptist pastor was intolerant for
speaking out against Islam.

The story Tuesday on NBC Nightly News featured Dr. Jerry Vines,
pastor of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida, who last
June described the prophet Mohammed as "a demon-possessed pedophile
who had 12 wives, and his last one was a nine-year-old girl."
Featured in the story were Muslims from the Jacksonville area who
said such comments frightened them and made them fear for their
safety.

Preceding the report, NBC anchor Tom Brokaw charged Vines, a former
president of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), with "preaching a
dangerous message" of "hate" against Islam.

Dr. Don Wildmon is founder and chairman of the Mississippi-based
American Family Association. Wildmon says NBC did not even try to run
an objective story.

"The report did the very thing that NBC was saying some Christians
were doing," Wildmon says. "They didn't question the truth of what
[Vines] said, and they didn't question anybody who was on his side.
It was totally, totally biased."

Calling the story an example of "yellow journalism," Wildmon says the
broadcast is proof that the national media have an anti-Christian
agenda.

Report Says Guardsmen's Kids Harassed by Anti-War Teachers

(AgapePress) - In Maine, some public school teachers who are opposed
to a war against Iraq are being accused of harassing the children of
National Guard soldiers. That has outraged at least one pro-family
organization in the state.

Maine's legislature has already created controversy by passing an
anti-war resolution. Now there are reports that some teachers in that
state are harassing the young children of Maine National Guardsmen
who have been deployed to the Persian Gulf.

Maj. Peter Rogers is with the Maine National Guard. He tells The
Washington Times that members are telling him their children, some as
young as seven years old, have been coming home from school in tears
because of what they have been subjected to in the classroom.

Rogers says the reports indicate some teachers and guidance
counselors are talking about the possible war in Iraq as being
unethical, and that those who fight the war are unethical.

Michael Heath of the Christian Civil League of Maine says what is
happening in his state's public schools is "outrageous."

"We ought to be talking with our young people in ways that are
supportive of our president and our military," Heath says. "I'm
outraged that this has happened."

Heath says while Maine's political and educational leaders are among
the most liberal in the country, many of the state's citizens do not
go along with anti-American sentiment. "It needs to stop," he
says. "These are people who we ought to be cheering and supporting,
and sending off with all of the enthusiasm that we can possibly
muster."

Heath says Maine's legislature is no better, having the distinction
of being the only state government to pass a resolution opposing
President Bush's Iraq policy.

Formal complaints have been launched with school officials, but the
Times says as of Wednesday, there is no indication any of the
educators will face disciplinary action.

Last year, the National Education Association came under fire for
directing teachers to an online lesson plan that suggested they talk
to their students about incidents of American intolerance, and that
such incidents may have been the reason for the 9/11 terrorist
attacks.

Pennsylvania Anti-Child Porn Law 'Constitutionally Defensible,'
Attorney Says

(AgapePress) - A Christian attorney is commending Pennsylvania's
attorney general for vowing to enforce a state law aimed at stopping
child pornography.

Pennsylvania is forcing Internet service providers (ISPs) to block
websites that include child porn. The law has liberal groups up in
arms, claiming the law [PDF] interferes with legitimate web surfing.
State Attorney General Mike Fisher has been asked an Internet legal
group to disclose documents relating to the law, as well as a list of
websites that have been blocked under the law.

But Steve Crampton, chief counsel with the American Family
Association Center for Law & Policy, says the state is only carrying
out its duty.

"The government doesn't order the ISP to remove more than the child
porn. The government simply says 'take the child porn out,'" Crampton
says. "That is a perfectly legitimate and lawful exercise of the
authority vested in the State of Pennsylvania. That's their duty, in
fact, to protect the citizens from such material as child porn."

Crampton believes the law is constitutionally defensible and, in
fact, considers it "a creative alternative."

Lies Behind 'Ecstasy' Promote Popularity of Deadly Drug

By Jim Brown
February 28, 2003

(AgapePress) - A new national survey indicates that overall teen drug
use is down and holding -- a drop that started in 1997. But dangerous
misconceptions about the "love drug" remain.

The president of the Partnership for a Drug Free America says the
drug "Ecstasy" has pervaded America, and it is incumbent upon parents
to educate themselves about the dangerous neurotoxin. Steve Pasierb
says Ecstasy is not just found in large urban areas or in the rave or
concert scene, but is readily available in pill form to students in
the suburbs and rural areas.

"To teenagers, it's been buzz-marketed [and] aggressively promoted as
a wonderful high with no risk -- but we know clearly that's not
true," Pasierb says. "This is a dangerous drug that's part
hallucinogen, part speed. "

He notes there is a growing body of evidence behind the drug known
chemically as 3-4 methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA). "We know it's
a neurotoxin -- [and] the studies that have been coming in just over
the last year all paint an increasingly negative picture of the
drug," he says.

Pasierb says Ecstasy use creates large jumps in body temperature, can
damage organs, and has even resulted in some fatalities.

Over the past three years, use of Ecstasy among American teens
increased more than 71%. But last year, according to a study by the
Partnership for a Drug Free America, it went flat. Pasierb says that
statistic is good news and due in large part to the amount of
attention parents, schools, and the media have given to the Ecstasy
issue. But the battle is far from over, he says.

"The problem that underlies that flat line is 55% of teenagers still
see little risk in trying Ecstasy," he says. "That's 13 million
teenagers in America who say they see no risk. That's a real problem -
- and that's the problem we must address."

Pasierb says most children have been told a lie about Ecstasy, which
does not bear the stigma other drugs have.

EGYPT: SHOCK ACQUITTALS AT EL KOSHEH RETRIAL

CAIRO, EGYPT (ANS) -- In a repeat of an earlier verdict, the Sohag
Criminal Court in Egypt yesterday acquitted nearly all 96 suspects
charged with atrocities in connection with violence which broke out
in the village of El Kosheh in January 2000, leaving 21 Christians
and a Muslim dead.

As in the previous February 2001 ruling, only four men received
sentences, according to Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW).

CSW reports that Mayez Amin Abdel Rahim was sentenced to 15 years for
the killing of the sole Muslim victim, an increase of 5 years from
the previous verdict. The other three men, all Muslims, received two-
year and one- year sentences for setting alight a truck.

CSW reported the acquittals have come as a deep disappointment to
Egypt's Christian minority, who had hoped to see justice done at the
retrial.
