The mission of the Chouteau grotto is, in part, to "promote the preservation of caves, watershed areas, conservation of caves and their natural content; to promote good will with land owners and land managers."

MEETING: Our next meeting is Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Location will be Camp Takimina at 6000 Oneal Road, Columbia, MO 65202. You may use Google maps to find the location or contact Kathryn DiFoxfire at 573-484-3894. Please remember to bring a dish/beverages and $5 per person to cover the camp rental fee. Watch website for details. We will continue to accept nominations for 2010 officers at this meeting just prior to elections which will also be at this meeting.
