A forum of support for Choice Mothers -- single women who are Thinking, Trying, Waiting, Becoming or Being mothers.

We are NOT the right place for women who are single mothers because of divorce, because there are custody/child support/emotions we don't face here (try NOSM.org, National Organization of Single Mothers, as a great forum). But we do include women who are currently with a partner who doesn't want children and are considering leaving the relationship to have a child on her own, or divorced women who want to have another child on their own.

Our common ground is to help each other become the best mother we can be for the Choice Kids we have chosen to parent.

Members are encouraged to check out CHOICEMOMS.ORG for answers to typical questions, for the Choice Chat podcast, for blogs at every stage of the journey, and for much more expert insight.

Note that we will quickly tire of any member who is disrespectful. As one member recently put it: "All women on this list should be free to express their opinion but each of us should be responsible in how we share our opinion, recognizing that we are a diverse group of women and aware that words can be powerful and we need to be careful in how we wield them -- out of respect for other's opinions but more importantly out of respect for other's feelings."
