Tonight we had a very successful board meeting. We discussed our
recent dinner where we explained the mission for the Sunshine Kids
Club, mentioned several different fund raising activities, listed
several programs, and also asked parents to help within the program
where they were able to. During the follow up phone calls, we were
able to receive great feedback from parents where we will be putting
great efforts into fulfilling their needs.
During the past three months, we have been participating in a program
through the North Valley Community foundation called the Annie B's
program. Through this program, any donations earned are matched on a
percentage basis. This has driven us to try and increase our fund
raising activities greatly in order to take advantage of every dollar
we earn toward the programs for the kids within the organization. We
have seen GREAT results, not only in monies earned, but MOSTLY in
recognition of the program within the community.
Throughout the coming year we plan to increase activities and program
awareness within the community as well as hire on new staff to be able
to accommodate increasing numbers of children wanting to attend
