The Writers' Workshop in Chelsea, MI began in the spring of 2006. We are a group of writers who meet twice a month to critique each others' work. Our members write short stories and flash fiction; novels; memoirs and other creative nonfiction; play, TV and film scripts; young adult and children's literature, and poetry. In addition to moral support, we share information on writers' conferences, author appearances, local readings, classes, and other programs of interest to writers. Each of our sessions (spring and fall) includes a one-hour tutorial by a published author, who then leads a critique of the work of two members.
