The Austin Secular Family Network was formed so families with a similar understanding of the world could get together and build friendships, find support, exchange ideas and simply have fun! By coming together as a group, non-religious families who strive to raise their children in a predominantly religious world can find the support they need to raise freethinking, happy kids!
Members of this group are welcome to start online discussions, ask advise, or post information that would be of interest to the group.
Once a month (date varies) the Secular Family Network gathers at a different location so families can meet face to face and have a chance to socialize. This will be labeled on the calendar as "SFN SOCIAL." All activities are child friendly unless specifically noted. Some activities will have child care available so parents can take part in discussions/lectures/etc.
All other postings on the calendar are non-official suggested activities. There may or may not be SFN members at these events. Members are encouraged to suggest events that can be added to the calendar.
