thanks ajmal for this mail from heaven....belive it or not,,,my fault or not.. its been almost 3 years i spoke to any cetian.. palareyum contact cheyyan nokki....pinne athum nirthi..."senti " enna viliyil olinju kidannirunna sukham ariyunnathu ippozhanu...when there is no more anyone to call me by that name.....after 2 beers to celeberate delhi winter..ajmals mail was a nostalgic warmth on top tonight ..othiri nalku sesham...innu sukhamayi orangamennu tonnunnu...

This is in a way very special ...after 10 years , 2 months back I decided to take a break...joined a business leadership program in delhi allong with my phd...back to studies,,,nught outs...supplies ...beautful women (heeeyyyy,,,,abt my wife and 3 year old daughter.....:))).... I can say ...cet99 is cet99,,,.no match ...no place in heart...atleast in this life....CET99 rocks:)

whoever behind this "classmates" initiative ..kudoos...If it is not an exam day out here count me in ...

സുഹൃത്തേ,

ഒരു ഒക്ടോബര്‍ 4  നു ഞാന്‍ Brothers ഇന്റെ മുന്‍പില്‍ വന്നിറങ്ങി. ഒപ്പം എന്നെ ഒറ്റയ്ക്ക് വിടാന്‍ പേടിച്ചു എന്റെ ഒപ്പം വന്ന എന്റെ ഉമ്മയും ഉപ്പയും. വളരെ സ്നേഹത്തോടെ എന്നെ എന്റെ സീനിയേര്‍സ്‌    നെ ഏല്പിച്ചു അവര്‍ മടങ്ങി. അവര്‍ എന്നെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളും എന്നുള്ള ഉത്തമ വിശ്വാസത്തോടെ.... ഭാഗ്യം എന്ന് പറയട്ടെ അവര്‍ എന്നെ നന്നായി തന്നെ നോക്ക്കി.. കാല് രണ്ടും ഓരോ ബക്കെട്ടിലും തലയില്‍ ഒരു കെമിസ്ട്രരി ടെക്സ്റ്റ്‌ ബുക്ക്‌ വെച്ച് തന്നു ആദ്യരാത്രി അവിസമാരനീയമാക്കി. അതൊരു വെറും തുടക്കമെന്ന് ബാക്കിയുള്ള രാത്രികള്‍ മനസ്സിലായി... ഏകദേശം ഒരു മാസത്തോളം തുടര്‍ന്ന സ്നേഹ വെപ്രാളങ്ങള്‍ . അതോടെ ഞാന്‍ അവിടെ അവരുടെ കൂടെ ഒരംഗം ആയി. ഏകദേശം ഇതു തന്നെ യാണ് എന്നെ ഞാന്‍ ആകി മാറ്റിയ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് കോളേജിലും നടന്നത്. പിന്നെ ഞാന്‍ CET കുടുംബത്തില്‍ ജീവിതം ആസ്വതിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി. നല്ല നല്ല സുഹൃത്തുക്കള്‍..പല വിതതിലുള്ള പാരകള്‍. ആരെ പ്രേമിക്കണം എന്ന് സംശയം ജനിപ്പ്പിക്കും വിധം  സുന്ദരികളായ സുഹൃത്തുക്കള്‍..ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ കഴിഞ്ഞുള്ള കോളേജിലെ സായാഹ്നങ്ങള്‍.. ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ ടൈമില്‍ കൂതറ ഡ്രസ്സ്‌ ഇട്ടാലും വൈകുന്നേരങ്ങളില്‍ കോളേജി പോകുമ്പോള്‍ ഉള്ളതില്‍ നല്ലത് തന്നെ വേണമെന്ന് നിര്‍ബന്ധം ഉള്ള കാലം.പ്രണയിനികള്‍ അക്വേഷിയ കാടുകളില്‍ ഇരുന്നു പ്രേമിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഒരാളെ എങ്ങിലും ഇടന്കലിട്ടു  വീഴ്ത്തുക എങ്ങിലും ചെയ്യണം എന്ന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ച കാലം. ഒന്നും നടക്കാതെ ആയപ്പോള്‍ ഗോള്‍ഡ്‌ ഫില്‍റ്റര്‍ സിഗരറ്റ്  വില്ല്സ്‌ ലേക്ക് മാറ്റി നോക്കിയതും പിന്നീട് കിങ്ങ്സ്‌ ട്രൈ ചെയ്ടടും വെറുതെ മാത്രം.. രാവിലെ എത്ര ലേറ്റ് ആയി ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ എല്‍ കയറിയാലും ഒരിക്കലും ഖേതിക്കാറില്ല ഞാന്‍.. പക്ഷെ വൈകുന്നേരം 5 മണിക്ക് മുന്‍പ് ലോര്‍ഡ്സ് ഇന്റെ മുന്‍പില്‍ എത്താന്‍ പറ്റിയില്ല എങ്കില്‍ ഒരു ദിവസം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട് പോയ  വിഷമം. പിന്നെ ദൈവമേ 6.45 ആകല്ലേ എന്നുള്ള പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥന. പാവം സുന്ദരികള്‍ ഹോസ്റ്റലില്‍ കയറിയാല്‍ അവരെ കുരിചോര്‍ത്തുള്ള മനസ്സിലെ വെപ്രാളം കാരണം ഡിന്നര്‍ ‍ കഴിക്കാനുള്ള കാശ് വെച്ച് ലോക്കല്‍ ഫോണ്‍ ചെയ്ട് അവരുടെ സുഖ വിശേഷം ഉറപ്പിച്ച സമയം. ജീവിതത്തില്‍ ഒരിക്കലും ഇത്രയും  ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം ഇതിനു മുന്‍പോ ശേഷമോ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്ന് വരെ സംശയം. വൈകുന്നരങ്ങളിലെ ലാത്തി അടി.. രാത്രിയില്‍ കാമ്പുസിനകത്തു സെക്യൂരിറ്റി ജീവനക്കാര്‍ ആത്മാര്‍ഥമായി ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ടോ എന്നറിയാന്‍ നമ്മള്‍ കാണിച്ച ആ ശുഷ്കാന്തി മറന്നിട്ടില്ല ഇതു വരെ. അവര്‍ ശുഷ്കാന്തിയോടെ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്ന്ടതിനു നമ്മുടെ നഷ്ടപെട്ട ചെരിപ്പുകള്‍ സാക്ഷി. ഓരോ സെമെസ്റെരും ഞൊടി ഇടയില്‍ കടന്നു പോകുന്നത് നമ്മള്‍ അറിഞ്ഞത് കേരള ഉനിവേര്സിടി റിസള്‍ട്ട്‌ പബ്ലിഷ് ചെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍. സപ്ലൈ ക്ര്യ്ടി ആയതും ക്ര്യ്ടി സൂപ്പര്‍ ക്ര്യ്ടി ആയതു പിന്നീട് മേര്സി ചേച്ചിയെ കരഞ്ഞു വീണു പ്രര്തിച്ചതും ചേച്ചി കടക്ഷിച്ചതും ഞാന്‍ ഇപ്പോഴും ഓര്‍ക്കുന്നു. ഞാന്‍ അടച്ച എക്സാം ഫീസ്‌ വെച്ച് മാത്രം കേരള ഉനിവേര്സിടി ഒരു ബില്‍ഡിംഗ്‌ പണിതു എന്ന് ഞാനറിഞ്ഞത് ഇ അടുത്ത കാലത്താണ്. ഓരോ സീരീസ്‌ ടെസ്റ്റും വളരെ സീരിയസ് ആയി തന്നെ അറ്റന്‍ഡ് ചെയ്ടടും ആ സെരിയെസ്നെസ്സ്  ലെക്ചെരാര്‍ ഇന്റെര്‍ണല്‍ മാര്‍ക്സ് ഇടുമ്പോള്‍ കാട്ടിയതും ഉനിവേര്സിടി എക്സമിനെ ഒരു സ്മാര്‍ട്ട്‌ സിറ്റി പദ്ധതി പോലെ ആകി മാറ്റി എന്റെ സുഹൃത്തേ. അവസാനം നമ്മുടെ പാവം HOD ടെ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനയുടെ ഫലം എന്ന് പറയട്ടെ ഞാനും ഒരു എഞ്ചിനീയര്‍ ആയി. കടന്നു പോയ നാലു കൊല്ലത്തെ പറ്റി ഓര്‍ത്തതും അത് എത്ര വേഗം കടന്നു പോയി എന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കിയതും അന്ന് മാത്രം.

ഇന്ന് നമ്മുടെ കൊള്ലെജ് നമുക്ക് നഷ്ടപെട്ടിട്ടു ഇപ്പോള്‍ പത്തു വര്ഷം തികഞ്ഞു. നമ്മള്‍ ലോകത്ത് എവിടെ ആയിരുന്നാലും നമുക്ക് ഒരിക്കല്‍ കൂടി ഒരുമികികാന്‍ നമുക്കിതാ ഒരവസരം വന്നു ചേരുകയാണ്. ഇ വരുന്ന ഡിസംബര്‍ 30 നു നാം വീണ്ടും ഒരുമിക്കുന്നു തിരുവനനതപുരത്  .   ഇ ശ്രേമം ഒരു വിജയമാക്കി മാറ്റാനും  ഇതു ഒരു തുടക്കം മാത്രം എന്ന് ആശംസിക്കാനും   നമുക്ക്ക് സ്രെമിക്കാം.

Dear all,

What is your opinion of a get together to commemorate our 10 years after passout from CET??? We can have it by end of Dec or first week of January, because there is more chances that most of our batchmates will be in kerala during Christmas/New Year.

Anoop P V has an idea of having an Souvenir (can be in a soft copy format) containing all the details of our batchmates with photos/videos of family members.

Suggestions are welcome.

CET is going to have a totally new look with grand steps on the front side of the campus.

The masterplan which includes a wide scale landscaping was presented in the previous CETAA meeting and the work already started with the new steps on the front of the college. (This is sponsored by 1955 batch). The plan includes the two long avenues which extends from LH to MH, one in the front and one in the back of the main building. (hmmm, an interesting change!!!

). Also in the design is big open space landscaping areas in the front side of our college and in the front of the library. Good news for the sports enthusiastics - The sports ground will be totally changed with synthetic track (yes, you heard it right, SYNTHETIC TRACK) and with gallery.

May be we can have our 1999 batch get together at the new look CET Campus later this year to commemorate our 10th year of passout!

It is proposed to hold CETA WORLD MEET in Dubai by Dec 2009 or Jan 2010.It will be a good opportunity to meet the old friends and exchange the views. Those who are outside UAE may plan their leave and if possible pass by Dubai and be a part of the DREAM PROJECT.

Looking at the Calender, I feel the best time will be 1st week of Jan 2010.

As you all know, Dubai Shopping Festival, the world's largest shopping festival is organized during DEC/ JAN.

Dec end or Jan beginning will be holidays in Europe/USA etc.

But we can finalize the dates only after hearing from our members all over the world.

Also please forward your suggestions on the nature of the event,duration of the event,guests, programmes etc.

Please note that it will be easier for CETA members/family residing in GCC, Europe,USA,Australi a etc to get entry visas here as Dubai is having Visa on arrival facility.

For others,CETA UAE members can provide business/tourist visits.

It will be much easier during Dubai shopping festival.

I request the batch/year representatives to consider the option of batch/year meetings at Dubai during same period as it will be convenient for our members.

(1) Ricky Ponting � (THE TRULY GENUINE CRICKETER OF THE CRICKET ERA AND WHOSE INTEGRITY SHOULD NOT BE DOUBTED ) should be considered as the FOURTH UMPIRE. As per the new rules, FOURTH UMPIRE decision is final and will over ride any decisions taken by any other umpires. ON-FIELD umpires can seek the assistance of RICKY PONTING even if he is not on the field. This rule is to be made, so that every team should understand the importance of the FOURTH UMPIRE.

(2) While AUSTRALIAN TEAM is bowling, If the ball flies anywhere close to the AUSTRALIAN FIELDER(WITHIN 5 metre distance), the batsman is to be considered OUT irrelevant of whether the catch was taken cleanly or grassed. Any decision for further clarification should be seeked from the FOURTH UMPIRE. This is made to ensure that the cricket is played with SPORTIVE SPIRIT by all the teams.

(3) While BATTING, AUSTRALIAN players will wait for the ON-FIELD UMPIRE decisions only (even if the catch goes to the FIFTH SLIP as the ball might not have touched the bat). Each AUSTRALIAN batsman has to be out FOUR TIMES (minimum) before he can return to the pavilion. In case of THE CRICKETER WITH INTEGRITY , this can be higher.

(4) UMPIRES should consider a huge bonus if an AUSTRALIAN player scores a century. Any wrong decisions can be ignored as they will be paid huge bonus and will receive the backing of the AUSTRALIAN team and board.

(5) All AUSTRALIAN players are eligible to keep commenting about all players on the field and the OPPONENT TEAM should never comment as they will be spoiling the spirit of the AUSTRALIAN team. Any comments made in any other language are to be considered as RACIALISM only.

(6) MATCH REFREE decisions will be taken purely on the AUSTRALIAN TEAM advices only. Player views from the other teams decisions will not be considered for hearing. MATCH REFREES are to be given huge bonus if this rule is implemented.

(7) NO VISITING TEAM should plan to win in AUSTRALIA. This is to ensure that the sportive spirit of CRICKET is maintained.

(8) THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE : If any bowler gets RICKY PONTING - "THE UNDISPUTED CRICKETER WITH INTEGTIRY IN THE GAME OF CRICKET" more than twice in a series, he will be banned for the REST OF THE SERIES. This is to ensure that the best batsman/Captain will be played to break records and create history in the game of CRICKET.

These rules will clarify better to the all the teams VISITING AUSTRALIA.
