Happy New Year and all that jazz...and welcome back for the spring semester.
I know, you all are probably like, "wtf? I was enjoying break!" If that is
the case, come out and dance the "Winter Break is over" blues away! We have
an action packed semester ahead sure to cure what ails you! Didn't come
dancing last semester? It's never too late to start!! Also, check out the

Swing dancing will take place this week Tuesday, 1/9/2007, at the Pub in
Gilchrist Hall. The lesson this week is COLLEGIATE SHAG taught by Mike and
Tracy. This is a basic lesson for beginners, no experience or partner
necessary! We start at 7:30p and open dancing begins at 9p and goes to 11p.
Cost is $2 for non-members and absolutely free for members.

Progressives:
This semester we will run an 6 week progressive lesson series in Balboa
starting Th. January 25th taught by JD from Flint. The classes will take
place in Farrall Hall on MSU's campus. More details will be forthcoming!

Workshops:
We will be having a shag workshop, taught by MSU Alum and Shag Champion
Mikey Deron on Saturday, January 20 in Farrall Hall from Noon to 5pm. Come
to the dance for more info!

Our big end of year workshop is coming on March 31st, and we need help! If
you would like to volunteer to coordinate registration, house out of
towners, etc....please let an eboard member know on Tuesday nights or email
swingers@.... Whatever you do...PLEASE be there!!!

Club Memberships:
We sell semester memberships at our Tuesday night lessons. A semester
membership costs $15. These memberships not only get you voting rights in
the club, but also discounts on workshops and our progressive lessons.
