ABOVE PHOTO: This depiction is possibly the oldest house in Conyngham Township. It is Toll House No. 7 on the Centre Turnpike, located near Germantown, across from the spring. It was drawn by Charles Waizenegger, who was married to Fietta Steeley. Fietta was a daughter of Philip Steeley, the last toll keeper at that house. After Steeley's death the Waizenegger family lived in the house until about 1885.
