This Yahoo! Group is for nonprofit organizations participating in International Babywearing Week as Official Celebrating Organizations. International Babywearing Week, or IBW, is presented by Babywearing International, Inc. ("BWI"), and www.TheBabywearer.com ("TBW"). No formal affiliation with BWI or TBW is necessary to participate, and a determination letter from the IRS proving tax-exempt status is not required as long as your organization operates as a nonprofit organization.

When applying for membership, please mention your nonprofit group. Individuals can certainly celebrate IBW using the resources in the Online Toolkit at www.babywearingweek.org, and they can collaborate with others in the forums at www.thebabywearer.com or at www.babywearinginternational.org, but this Yahoo! Group is intended for organizations, not individual advocates.

Upon approval for membership, please enter your contact and organizational information in the database. This year we have separated the database into US and International as well as BWI groups. Non-BWI groups and International groups will be asked to pay postage on the outreach package. This has been a huge expense for BWI and postage rates have risen again. As more groups join the celebration, covering all postage costs has become too much. We hope you will still choose to participate though!
