Re: Anyone interface a Garmin GPS to a Raymarine smartpilot?

Well, after completing the install I'll say that interfacing the GPS was one of
the easier aspects. The worst part was soldering 18ga wire to the 24ga (or
smaller) that the Garmin GPS plug had. I ran 4-conductor wire down from my
Navpod to an insulated connector that I zip tied behind the steering quadrant.
From there I ran a line over to my Raymarine course computer and over to my
radio. I have the Standard Horizon QuestX and have to say it's pretty damn cool
to see my speed and position on the radio display.

I took a bunch of pictures during the process which I'll try to upload at some
point.
