What is the Catalina 28 International Association?
The Catalina 28 International Association was formed in 1993 by a group of owners sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. Today the Association can boast a membership of over 200 yachts, which represents approximately 25% of the boats manufactured, a strong representations of any Catalina models sold to date. Both the original Catalina 28 and the Catalina 28MK II are eligible yachts for membership in the Catalina 28 International Association.
Receiving Mainsheet magazine is probably the most important reason for becoming a member of the International Association. Your annual membership fee includes a subscription to Mainsheet. This magazine has a great overview of the Catalina product line and features a section each quarter on just Catalina 28's (member contributed). This is where you will find news of owner modifications and other great ideas to upgrade your 28. When you join the Association, the magazine alone is well worth the membership fee.
