This group is for owners or fans of the Catalina/Capri 18 sailboat. This forum is open to anyone interested in either the newer Catalina 18 MK II or the classic Capri 18/Catalina 18 models.

New members do not have to be approved and have immediate access to Files, Photos, etc. However, due to spammers joining, posting, and disappearing forever, posts from new members are now moderated. Approval of first messages may take awhile, especially on weekends. If you join, please add an entry in the members Database. You may also want to add an album in the Photos area or vote on items in the Polls area.

not all C18's are fixed keel :) I thought they started out with centerboards and only later moved to fixed keels.

Does anyone have any experience with the kick up rudder sold by Ida-Marine? I have a stock kick up rudder on my 86 Capri 18 and it no longer kicks up and down
