This is a discussion group for the novels of Carole Nelson Douglas, particularly her Midnight Louie feline PI mystery series. Her Irene Adler Sherlockian suspense series is on its second "hiatus," but Carole is now writing the Delilah Street, Paranormal Investigator, noir urban fantasy series.
It is also a place where readers can hatch ideas to help Louie and Irene reach their widest possible audience. Cats rule! Books are cool! And it takes writers and readers working together to keep reading a 21st century pastime.
Carole is the author of 50-plus published novels, ranging from contemporary and history mystery to science fiction and high fantasy, mainstream women's fiction, and historical and contemporary romance.
She has won or been a finalist for more than 50 writing awards and, before she became a full-time novelist, was an award-winning reporter, feature writer, and layout/copy editor for the St. Paul Pioneer Press. She was also the first woman member of its Editorial Board.
Now a resident of the Sun Belt, she collects books, high heels, vintage clothing and homeless cats (and a dog). Midnight Louie, Jr., was adopted from the Lubbock, Texas, shelter during a Midnight Louie Adopt-a-Cat tour Carole's publisher, Tor/Forge Books, sent her on in the nineties.
