C.A.R.A. is an open, nonprofit, democratic, educational corporation, free from political or religious affiliation, organized for the purpose of providing accurate and valuable information pertaining to the successful resettlement of asylees and refugees.
Asylees and refugees are informed about the institutions that provide access to social services, education, employment and financial aid. In addition data is provided to familiarize them with county, state and federal laws, policies, plans and issues. The data is delivered mainly by e-mail, brochures, an internet web-site, public discussion groups, and panel lectures. This process will assist them in acclimating to the new environment and create a strong sense of community , thus enabling them to be self directive in the transition to a stable normal and productive life in the United States.
