Hi Chris
The Yahoo Group will remain as it is for the time being- there is a link to it
from the Association site under one of the Links Pages. At the end of the day it
is a resource available to owners\other interested parties in the Cape Cutter
19.
However the V-bulliten forum on the Association web site is far better
structured than the Yahoo site so I would see this as a better place to post
queries as the user community grows. The issue with the Yahoo site is that in
many instances question asked have been answered previously- but it is hard to
get to the previous information as it is purely thread based i.e of little
structure. There is also the issue that the Yahoo group is in non association
hands- they could close it tomorrow and the community would not have any say in
the matter!
There are also significant benefits of being a member of the Association such as
access to rallies, Personal Mail, boat sales etc. Once a boat sale has been
posted on the Yahoo site and other posts are placed its relevance disaappears.
This applies to anything of importance within the Yahoo group.

Simon Head
