Here's a restaurant experience for nacho luver's visiting Isla Mujuerez. Rene &
Renee's, restaurant. I told him i'd write him up in CancunandRivieraMaya.com,
so, that may give you some clout. It will sure please them. The restaurant is
small as they come, three, maybe four tables at best. But the food is cooked in
front of you and to perfection. I order Nachos chicken grande. Mama Renee will
make them up piping hot, and believe me-you'll be satisfied. A bowl of Rene's
home made hot sauce is on the table, but ask him to freshen it up. He will
gladly. And (this is only for the brave, hot sauce eaters in the group!) pour
the whole thing on your nachos generously. With a side basket of chips(ask for
them), scoop up these delicious nachos and savor the flavor of home made mexican
nachos at their best. I get two bottle waters, because, the flames tend to smoke
the room easily, if i don't douse the fire often. I'm not joking. If you like
hot and spicy, you'll adore Renee's home made flavor of hot sauce! If you just
like fine tasting chicken nachos grande, they're good that way, too. This is as
close as you'll come to the nachos taste you're craving-with a kick!(about
$10)and worth it./ Tell the bus driver, you want to go to Puerto Juarez. Any bus
from the hotel zone will take you, 75cents. then, when the driver says, it's
time-get off, and get on a smaller white van type bus,50 cents-to puerto juerez.
It's a one lane street, and big buses don't go down it. Buy a roundtrip ticket,
$7.00, taking the Ultramar speedboat from Puerto Juarez, leaving every half
hour, @7.00 and visiting the small but quaint Isla Mujuerez, walk out from the
boat docks a block, get off the main street of traffic, and take the 1st cross
street to the left. It'll then be up a couple of blocks and to your left again.
What: Nachos Grande, with side chips, and homemade hot sauce. Where: Rene and
Renee's. Address: Calle centro & Madeyo streets. But ask the locals, they'll
point it out-he's been there for years. Good eating.~Doc (sent you)
