Description

The Turtle Beach Campgound on south Siesta Key has been in existence since 1921...but it may not be around much longer if a handful of wealthy homeowners get their way. The Sarasota County Commission is trying to remove the beachfront campground, even though it makes money for the county. The mission of the Turtle Beach Campers is simple: To Prevent the closure of the only beachfront campground in Sarasota County.

Luckily, we haven't needed to use the group since the County Commissioners (wisely) decided to keep the campground intact. Thanks to all of the publicity this
