I know that rehab is shorter (& too often done in regular hospitals) these
days, but when I was in rehab (going on 40 years ago) we were in wards with
4 quads per ward. Quads have always had to develop off the wall sense of
humors.
We'd try to come up with stories to tell student nurses & therapists of how
we became disabled. The whole idea was to see how long we could string them
on... or just come up with a totally funny story.
One guy said he was a cat burglar and fell while scaling a building.
Another said he was a flag pole polisher & was cleaning the eagle on the top
of a pole when a live eagle tried to mate with the fake one and knocked him
off the pole.
I was just wondering if other people had some crazy stories.
