Caprine arthritis encephalitis (CAE) is a viral infection of goats which may lead to chronic disease of the joints and on rare occasions encephalitis in goat kids less then six months of age.

This list is to discuss CAE with with an open mind. To look at alternative methods to prevention, treatment, and keeping positive animals in the herd.

The discussion to include, testing, not testing, dam raising, bottle feeding, heat treatment, segregation, or anything related to managing a herd with cae or to prevent cae.
