Description

Butler NJ is the hub of a Tri-Boro area along with Bloomingdale and Kinnelon. As all 3 are chartered as boro's under NJ's municipal government laws. This list couldn't be titled as a Tri-Boro because there are quite a few areas in the state where there are tri-boro's. Butler and Kinnelon are in norheast Morris County and Bloomingdale is in northern Passaic County.

Anyone with an interest in this area is cordially invited to join the ButlerNJArea list, whether or not a current resident of the 3 boro's. Former residents are encouraged to join. Businesspersons with an interest are welcome. Anyone from one of the municipalities adjoining our tri-boro area are welcome (they include Pequannock, Pompton Lakes, Riverdale, Ringwood, Wanaque and West Milford). In other words the municipalities within a few miles of the junction of New Jersey State Highway Route 23 and Interstate 287; the area served by one of the nation's oldest roadways, Paterson - Hamburg Turnpike and one of the best loved railroad lines of the northeast USA, the Susquehanna Railway or NYS&W.

Everyone is encouraged to post items concerning current events, community calendar notices, opinions of happenings. Please, just keep everything as clean as possible as this list is open to everyone, even kids. Founded in December 1998, there have now been over 19,200 messages posted as of June 2007. Presently we have more than 430 registered members. Anyone can view the messages and links to other sites but under Yahoo rules only those who register may access the other sections such as files, photso, member directory and calendar.

... Similarly, people have the "right" in this country to use energy however they care to. And, nobody is required to produce said energy in any specific way.
