BurningMoms Mission Statement BurningMoms is NOT a group for discussion of how to take your kid to the playa. If you need this information, these guys will get you where you need to go. This is a high-volume discussion group and unsuitable for those wishing for basic information on Burning Man and kids. BurningMoms was originally created to provide support and community for three mom Burners. These moms have since expanded it to include Burner (and like-minded) parents who wish to share their experiences parenting on and off the playa. BurningMoms is a supportive, inclusive community that is meant to feel like a home for its members. It is NOT simply a place to discuss Burning Man and how to camp there, is it rather a community of parents who exhibit Burner values. This is a place for us to fit in, to offer kindness, to help each other and to nurture ourselves and each other as parents and as individuals. BurningMoms is a safe place to ask and to answer questions, to express different opinions without judgment or fear of judgment, to share ideas and stories and to ask for help. BurningMoms was founded with the spirit of BurningMan in mind- come as you are, in your costume of the moment and be accepted. We have no one face, we look "normal" and we look "different." We have no one parenting style and no one right answer.
