Hello all,
Please see below an e-mail from the LCC Streetscene Services Manager
regarding the idea of a graffiti initiative in the area. I have also
e-mailed Leeds Rhinos to see if they would be interested in being
involved as they get quite a bit of graffiti

Dear Mr McMillan,
thank you for your note which I have taken the liberty of passing on
to our graffiti manager Ms Frieda Haley. I have asked Frieda to
contact you as she is much more of an expert on all things graffiti
and is already at the helm of liaison meetings with police and other
interested parties so will be much better positioned to advise you.
I'm sure we can work together and I'll ask Frieda to keep me updated
on progress, Frieda's e-mail address is frieda.haley@...
If I can assist further please don't hesitate to contact me,
best wishes
Graham

Subject Graffiti initiative
Dear Mr Hollings,
Myself and some other people living in the LS4 area would like to set
up a voluntary graffiti removal team. Although I know the council does
provide a graffiti removal service, it can take up to three weeks and
I think it is important for graffiti to be removed quickly as it
discourages others from adding to it.
Would you be willing to help us with this initiative? If so, we need
help with the following;
1. A recruitment drive to inform other residents of the initiative
2. Provision of cleaning materials and training
3. Help organizing a meeting between residents, council employees and
police to discuss the possibility of setting up one or more legal
graffiti spaces
I look forward to your reply,
Dr Brian McMillan
