Re: [bullypoliceidaho] At my WITT"S end!!!

Hello,

First of all, I must say thank you for taking the time to respond. My daughter is 12yr, she started school early based on her B'day being in Oct. Now she is not perfect in anyway, there have been the normal drama with "girls" I guess. But my daughter has had a hard time with school and so her grades are struggling. So what started happening is that some of the Staff( including the Princaples ) would tell her that they believe the other girl(s)because they are getting A'.  So they would give "Isolation"  causing her to fall further behind. Even when there was horseplay and somone got hurt, they penelized my Daughter for it, I made them suspend her -better home doing work them there doing nothing. Now I' not saying that there should not be consequnces for breaking the rules, but it should be fair. Everyone involved should get the same. As to the "Doc's", we have not been doing a very good job on this. That rings in my head all day long. But that's the past. I'm doing this now, and so is my daughter.  My daughter is having her friend write what they saw happen the day of the "shaking". My daughter let us know yesterday that this same teacher came to help her with her math work and is said No! I do not need help, the teacher grabed her pencil and tried to help her anyway. I want to explode. All this brings me to my last and final straw. Yesterday there was a problem with a couple of girls using the F' word, Now this same teacher zero's in my daughter and sends her to the office, She is saying I didn't say it, her friend is tring to tell the teacher that it was her(Friend not D') and another one. So she send D' and friend to office. There were afew others that stood up and were tring to ell the truth, it didn't matter. All were sent back to class except my daughter. My daughter insisted on calling me(V. Princaple stated). I was told that she would have Detention after school for two hr's NOT. VP then says - she can stay in D' at lunch. NOT. Keep in mind that they have not even talked to the teacher yet, not that it would matter. Anyway, I went down after school and informed them that would not happen (Detention) in any way shape or form. I have also informed my daughter to ask to call me before they talk to her about anything. No one else was ever punished, talked to yes, punished no.... and they wonder why kids ...

Thank you so much, I will check out everything and seek more.

Thanks!
Pete

Hi,
Boy do you have your hands full! Have you done any documentation on any of this? How old is your daughter? Is she in counseling? The first thing we recommend is counseling because bullying causes depression, low self esteem, etc. Especially if part of this is because of a teacher physically. We are finding out that in some situations that teachers can also be bullies. Were the police involved in this teacher physically shaking her? Has the teacher been reprimanded or even punished for shaking your daughter? Please if you can give me more information. There is a web site you can also check out: http://www.schoolvi olencelawyer. com/

Also, get in touch with Elizabeth Bennett. She has been trained to deal with this kind of stuff. Her email is elizabethbennett@ peerabuse. info

In the meantime, get a notebook and document everything on a daily basis. Names, times, dates, witnesses, etc. If she has any physical marks on her body, make sure you get pictures of them. Let us know how you make out. Elizabeth can give you better advice in this situation than I. But after you get a "paper trail" going on all this, it makes it harder for the school to "deny" or "sweep things under the rug". I feel so bad  you both are having to deal with this issue. It takes its toll. Hang in there. Make sure your daughter knows she is not alone, they tend to think they are the only ones. Also, make sure she knows it is NOT her fault. Some of the kids blame themselves. Her self-esteem could be already suffering due to this!

Good luck,
Missy

just wondering where to go from here. My daughter has been targeted like she is the only student. If there is a fight or argument or just about anything else and she is near by... it must be her. We have been fighting a list of multiple issue's with no prevail. Now, I am forced to deal with a issue where a teacher grabbed her and shook her while telling her to sit. My daughter couldn't sit, there was no room. My wife and I have been fighting with the school for 2yr's. I am at the point of taking this legal.. Help!!!! Thank you
