This is a public website for information about the Brown Sugar Stitchers Quilt Guild, located in Decatur, GA. We are a dynamic and diverse group of African-American quilters from all over the metro Atlanta area. Our organization was founded in 2000 by Nancy Franklin and Jocelyn Carter.
Visitors signing in with their Yahoo ID have access to the Calendar and Photo areas. All visitors have access to the Links area which can take you to Quiltsites.com where there is more information about our group. There's other good stuff in the Links section as well.
Monthly meetings are on the 3rd Saturday at 10:30A at the Wesley Chapel-William C. Brown Library, 2861 Wesley Chapel Road, Decatur, GA. Guests are welcomed at our meetings and encouraged to join after their second visit. Yearly dues are $25 and the year starts in July. NOTE: IN JULY, NOVEMBER and DECEMBER we participate in MEMBERS ONLY activities away from the library. Photos are available for viewing at http://community.webshots.com/user/bssquiltguild?vhost=community and http://family.webshots.com/album/557120572VZsuzq?vhost=family.

The BSS Quilt Guild has been active in the cultural and educational affairs of our community since it's inception. We continue to make quilts for charities, including Carrie Steele Pitts orphanage, Katrina victims, Gateway Project and others. We participate in Kwanzaa activities at the library, have held several successful quilt shows and participated in enrichment activities in local public schools.
We extend an invitation to you to visit our Guild. Call the library at 404-286-6980 for directions. If you have questions, please send us an e-mail at BSSquiltguild@hotmail.com.
