This is a group for fans of the Joss Whedon 'space western' - Firefly living in the bistate St. Louis/Illinois area who are interested in attending Firefly/Serenity Shindigs and Jobs. A local place to discuss the show, the characters, and the actors who play them ultimately Browncoats St. Louis has the potential for being a real fan group with regular meetings. The baseline age requirement for membership is 17 or over but exceptions will be made at the discretion of the owner and moderator. This is NOT a group about adult content. It is a group for people who are at least 17 or older who are interested in discussing and gathering monthly or bi-monthly for Shindigs and Jobs.

Now before everyone starts gettin all paranoid and crotchety, this
isn't about the group being hard to control. As long as everyone keeps
a civil tongue then there won't be any need for me to go get the chain
of command.
Y'all got on this boat for different reasons, but y'all comin' to the
same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe
everything. Sure as I know anything, I know this: we're the Best Damn
Fans in this here part o'the 'verse and we're gonna be a major force to
reckon with in the fandom community. They won't have a choice but to
keep givin' us movies and action figures and those wobbly headed dolls.
In the meantime, we can make do with what we got, play nice and have
our shindigs. Always remember safety, no horsin around on the boat,
cause one of you is gonna fall and die and I'm not cleaning it up. So
keep up the talkin about our show and Big Damn Movie and if anyone gets
nosy just, you know, shoot them.
