This course is designed to introduce you to the process of managing an online discussion forum/classroom. We will explore the “touch and feel” of an online “newsgroup,” how to interact with other online learners in a “virtual community,” and gain insights to the use of Socratic Instruction in leading a group of adult learners. As a result of this course, you will develop strategies for managing the flow of discussion in an online discussion forum. This class will run from May 27 – June 23, 2008.
